VitaMuffin Review + Lulu Giveaway Winner

Hey hey, it's Saturday!! :)

Good morning(ish) everyone!

Justin & I are off to a relatively slow start this morning.

Needed to get some extra sleep in after a long work week.

It felt good! 


So, once I picked myself up out of bed, I headed into the kitchen and decided to take care of a little box that has been burning a hole in my pantry.

VitaMuffin BlueBran Muffins

I got the urge to bake muffins a couple of weekends ago so I bought this box + some blueberries for the "garnish." 

I love VitaTops so these muffin mixes have been intriguing me for a while. 

Unfortunately, I didn't get around to making them, and the blueberries were all subjected to my morning oats routine.

Whoops!

I decided to give the mix a go anyway this morning, sans blueberries. 

The stats on these babies are so great, I knew they would either be a miracle or come out tasting light straight dog food. 

I followed the directions on the box, except I did 1/2 cup water + 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, + 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract, and  + 1 tsp. ground cinnamon. 

22 minutes later and we had ourselves some VitaMuffins! 

There were 12, but someone couldn't wait to eat his.  

He was a fan :) 

I decided to spread mine with a little bit of Jif Natural PB.

I gotta say, they are pretty good! Even without the blueberries. 

I told Justin "wow, they taste just like bran muffins!"


And then I glanced at the box...

Hey, I hadn't had my coffee yet, mmmkay? 

I think my next mission is going to be to come up with a homemade (aka not out of out of the b.o.x.) bran muffins.  My grandma always made bran muffins growing up, and I absolutely LOVE them. 

Since that was only a dinky little thing, I had a smoothie-a-la-Justin...

And then promptly made another muffin to have with my coffee. 

Now I am full and ready to share the winner of the Lulu hoodie giveaway!
